Three supermarkets have been targeted by ram raiders, only a month after one store was already targeted in a similar fashion.

Three Bass Coast IGA supermarkets have been targeted in a series of ram raids, which are still under investigation.

Police believe about 10 offenders attempted to force entry to the Wonthaggi IGA about 2am on Saturday January 15 but were interrupted by a passer by.

They then used two vehicles to drive to the San Remo IGA on Marine Parade, where they used their car to gain entry to the store.

Their next stop was the Cowes Thompson Ave IGA where they again performed a ram raid.

The vehicles used are described as a white Mercedes and a silver Subaru and are believed to be stolen.

The Subaru was also involved in a petrol drive off at Ampol Bass about 3.22am.

The Mercedes was located dumped in Springvale on Sunday night.

No arrests have been made at this stage and the investigation is ongoing.

These ram raids come after the San Remo IGA was already targeted during another burglary in December where a group of offenders wore masks to steal cash.
