A teen rider who suffered from life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in the state’s Baw Baw region remains in a critical condition in hospital.

A teenage boy who suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Victoria’s southeast remains in a critical condition.
A police spokeswoman said a male driver in a Nissan ute was travelling along Bloomfield Rd in Crossover — between Warragul and Neerim South — when he collided with the teen motorbike rider about 5pm on Wednesday.
The rider, a 16-year-old Crossover boy, was flown to The Alfred with upper and lower body injuries.
The driver, a 26-year-old Buln Buln man, stopped at the scene and has been spoken to by police.
The hospital confirmed on Thursday morning the boy remained in a critical condition.
CFA crews were called to the scene just before 8pm to perform a washaway of oil from the road.
“Two CFA units from Neerim South attended the scene,” a CFA spokesman said.
The incident was declared safe at 8.33pm.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and the investigation remains ongoing.
