A driver has had a lucky escape in a lengthy high-angle rescue mission after his truck rolled 20m down an embankment near Warragul.

Emergency crews have saved a driver in a high-angle rescue operation after his truck rolled 20m down an embankment in Victoria’s southeast.
A police spokeswoman said the vehicle was travelling on Grand Ridge Rd near Seaview and Ellinbank just before 2.30pm Thursday when it left the roadway.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said a man in his 70s was taken to the Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition after being treated for minor upper and lower body injuries.
A VICSES spokesman said SES Warragul unit volunteers assisted police, Ambulance Victoria, CFA and FRV with the rescue.
“Volunteers hiked down to provide support to a single patient who had self-extricated from a vehicle after it had travelled down an embankment,” the spokesman said.
A CFA spokeswoman said CFA units responded from Hallora and Warragul.

The incident was deemed safe about 3pm and the road was closed for some time during the rescue mission.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
