A horrific collision on the Princes Highway closed the road in Gippsland, with debris being strewn across lanes.

One person has been flown to hospital after a horrific collision on the Princes Highway in Trafalgar.

Emergency services responded to a collision and a crash on the Princes Highway on Tuesday morning.

It is believed two trucks travelling eastbound were involved in a collision about 7.30am.

One male driver was flown to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Nobody else was injured.

In a separate incident, a car crashed and rolled on the Princes Highway eastbound in Yarragon about 7.40am.

One man was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision and crash are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.

All lanes are now open.
