Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a body was found in a car in the Latrobe Valley.

The body was found inside a car near an oval on Vary St in Morwell on Wednesday afternoon and it’s not yet known how long the body had been in the vehicle.

A police spokesperson confirmed the death was not being treated as suspicious.

One person on social media said they heard sirens while another said they saw two ambulance trucks and a fire truck travelling in the area.

Also on Wednesday, a person died after an incident on a street in Warragul.
