Police are searching for a naked birdwatcher who was spotted on a popular walking trail near Wonthaggi.
Senior Sergeant Peter Watson said a passer-by saw the enthusiastic nature lover in South Dudley on Monday.
The man, who is believed to be in his 60s, was watching birds while lying down on a platform on the popular Bass Coast Rail Trail.
Sen-Sgt Watson said police had received reports about the naked man on another occasion.
“We don’t think he is dangerous but we just need to stop that sort of behaviour,” he said.
“If people do see him, don’t approach him.”
Sen-Sgt Watson said the investigation was ongoing but urged the public to contact police if they sight the man.
