Man flown to hospital after crash at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit

A driver has been injured after crashing into a concrete barrier at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.

A man has been flown to hospital after crashing into a concrete barrier in Phillip Island.

Emergency services were called to a crash at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Ventnor at about 4.30pm on Sunday.

It is believed a car smashed into a concrete barrier at the racing track.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a man in his 60s was flown to the Alfred Hospital in a stable condition with upper body injuries.

This is the second crash to happened at the track in a month.

A man in his 50s was treated for serious head wounds following a horror high-speed motorbike crash on November 1.

It is understood he was injured during a Phillip Island Ride Day, which allowed members of the public to access the track under controlled conditions.
