An Officer man has died in hospital after becoming unresponsive following an e-bike crash near a petrol station near Phillip Island.

An Officer man has died in hospital after he crashed his e-bike in the state’s southeast.
It’s understood the 40-year-old left a home on Laurett Ave in San Remo to ride the e-bike to a nearby petrol station on Phillip Island Rd about 10.30pm on November 5.
The man returned home a short time later and told his family he had crashed the vehicle.
The man soon became unresponsive and was treated by paramedics who took him to hospital where he later died.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and police investigations remain ongoing.
It has taken Victoria’s road death toll to 263, compared to 218 lives lost in November last year.
