Police have formally identified the young man killed following a motorcycle crash at Lang Lang.

A motorcyclist has been killed after crashing into a pole at Lang Lang on Thursday afternoon.

Police say the man was riding a motorcycle on Langley Boulevard about 1.50pm when he struck a pole.

The rider, a 20-year-old Lang Lang man, died at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
