Moe: Motorcycle rider lucky to walk away uninjured after clipping front of train

A teen dirt bike rider was lucky to avoid injury after clipping a passing train in Moe.

A young dirt bike rider was lucky to walk away uninjured after he clipped a passing train in Moe.

Police believe the rider of a Yamaha dirt bike was driving illegally when the bike clipped the front of a train while riding across the tracks near the Moe Gardens Caravan Park just before 1pm on Friday.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics were called to the incident but no emergency treatment or transport was required.

A police spokesperson said the driver of the bike, believed to be a 15-year-old boy, was not injured and fled the scene on foot.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
