Weddings bells will soon ring out from barn doors on a property west of Melbourne after a local shire officially endorsed the development plans.
Moorabool Shire Council has approved plans for a property at Millbrook, 25 minutes east of Ballarat, to be transformed into a dreamy location for lovers to tie the knot with an idyllic country backdrop.
The Jeca Farm owners had their revised plans approved last week and will now set about building a wedding barn at their rural property.
Development Application (DA) documents have revealed the new wedding location will be authorised to host up to 120 guests, without requiring permission, and will also have about 40 car parks on site.
They permit will allow for up to 52 weddings to be hosted at the property each year.
The 20-acre site will have more than enough space for food trucks, toilets, gardens and the existing dam.
The site is situated on Old Melbourne Rd, at Millbrook.
A Moorabool Shire spokeswoman confirmed that Council endorsed the plans on April 13.
The owners will have two years to commence construction and a further two years to complete the barn.
