A number of police are at a home in the state’s northwest as part of an ongoing investigation.

It is understood officers attended the home near Box St and Ghost Gums Boulevard in the town of Maryborough, midway between Bendigo and Ballarat, early Tuesday morning.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said police were currently at an address in Maryborough as part of an ongoing investigation.

“There is no immediate risk to community safety and further information will be provided once operationally appropriate to do so.”
