Wangaratta crime: Numurkah truck driver accused of trafficking ice, cocaine
An early evening routine police traffic stop in Numurkah proved unlucky for a couple of truckies who wound up behind bars.

A huge amount of cocaine and ice have allegedly been seized by police in a routine intercept in Numurkah.
Wangaratta Highway Patrol stopped a truck during a traffic stop on the Hume Highway just before 6.30pm on Tuesday, March 24.
The truck driver, a 40-year-old man, allegedly tested positive for drugs after undertaking a roadside test.
Officers searched the vehicle and allegedly uncovered a large amount of what is believed to be illicit drugs, which will undergo forensic testing.
The driver and his passenger, a 46-year-old man, have been charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of methyl amphetamine and trafficking a commercial quantity of cocaine.
They have both been remanded in custody to appear at Wangaratta Magistrates’ Court today.
