Blood was left splattered up the walls of a Springdale Heights home after Phoebe Wood’s outburst over missing marijuana.

Wood faced Albury Local Court on April 12, and pleaded guilty to charges including destroy/damage property, stalk/intimidate, and contravening an AVO.

Court documents reveal at 12.50pm on January 15, Wood noticed about $100 worth of marijuana missing from her room at her grandmother’s house.

The 19-year-old immediately suspected her younger sister was to blame, and went to her room yelling and throwing things.

Wood broke a large mirror in her sister’s room before her brother came to rescue his younger sister, pushing Wood out of the room and holding the door shut.

Wood then ran outside to the back of the house and destroyed the flyscreen on the window of her sister’s room while attempting to get inside.

She then returned inside and started bashing on the bedroom door with her fists until her own hands started to bleed and her blood splattered up the wall.

Wood then pulled out a knife, concealed in her bra, and started stabbing the door, leaving puncture holes.

The accused’s younger sister fled to a friend’s house, fearing for her safety.

When Wood’s grandmother returned home she immediately phoned police.

Wood’s defence solicitor said his client had lived with her grandmother since she was a child, after her mother committed suicide when she was nine, and her dad was “missing and presumed dead”.

He said his client suffered from paranoid schizophrenia which reduced the criminality of Wood’s offences.

Magistrate Miranda Moody said it wasn’t Wood’s fault she suffered from schizophrenia, but she needed to make sure it was properly treated.

“The behaviour she displayed was absolutely disgraceful …” Ms Moody said.

“Frightening your siblings and stabbing the door with a knife, injuring yourself and splattering blood up the walls …”

“You’re allowed to get angry, but to behave like that is really bad.”

Wood told the court it was the first time she hadn’t had her injection for an extended period of time.

Ms Moody sentenced Wood to a 12-month Community Corrections Order with supervision, and the condition that she keep up treatment for her schizophrenia.
