Max Boggs: Irish 18-year-old killed in Cobden, Australia car crash
Those closest to an Irish teen killed in a crash at Cobden have revealed why he was in Australia before his life was tragically cut short.

The father of a young Irish man killed in a crash at Cobden has penned a heartfelt tribute to his son.
Max Boggs, 18, died after two vehicles collided at the intersection of Bond St and Cross Forest Rd about 1.20am on Sunday.
Mr Boggs was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene, while two other men, 21 and 30 — also from Ireland — were taken to hospital.
Mr Bogg’s father Ryan Boggs said his son was his “right arm”.
“My best friend and my first born you made me proud every day,” he wrote online.
“Best big brother ever. Love you son sleep well.”
His mother Lorraine Boggs added: “Cherish them forever as tomorrow is never promised”.
Sophie Young, who met Mr Boggs in highschool in Ireland, told Leader he was in Australia working in agriculture at the time of the crash.
“Max was always the loudest person in the room.”
“He was always the funniest,” she said.
“All the teachers in school loved him, he was very popular and loved by so many people.
“He was just always so nice to everyone else around him, he was loved by so many people and I’ll always miss him.”
Derry Young Farmers Club in Ireland said his death had saddened the community.
“The members of City of Derry YFC are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Max Boggs,” they wrote online.
“We would like to pass our sincerest condolences on to Ryan and family. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the larger circle of family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
“Max was a popular young man in our rural community and will be sorely missed by all.”
