Lavington home invasion: Machetes, knives used against teens

Two teenagers have been threatened with machetes and knives after four men were reported to have forced entry into their Albury home.

Two teenagers have been threatened with machetes during a home invasion in Lavington, according to police reports.

About 2am Tuesday police were called to Daly St following reports four men had forced entry into the Albury home.

Police were told a 19-year-old woman and 17-year-old boy were home when the rear door was kicked in, and a group of men entered, armed with machetes and knives.

The boy was allegedly threatened with a knife, before the men stole cash, mobile phones and a white Holden Astra and fled.

He was not physically injured as a result.

Officers from Murray River Police District established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic police.

Detectives have now started an investigation and would like to speak to anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident.
