After 17 years of operation, Albury’s Hog’s Breath Cafe will close its doors on January 31.
Through a post on Facebook, owners Kee Sub Pike and Anneliese Luftensteiner said they made the difficult decision to close the iconic restaurant due to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It has been a trying year for us all and unfortunately we have not been immune to the economic fall out of the pandemic,” Mr Sub Pike said.
“There have been many variables that have led to this outcome, many out of our control.
“So after a long 17 years, with almost five years under my ownership, many memories, and a lifetime of happiness we must now say goodbye.
“This has been the most difficult and emotional decision to make.
“This restaurant has been home and family to me for most of my life.”
The restaurant will hold its final dinner service on January 31 before closing its doors for good.
