A police sergeant has pleaded guilty to drink driving at the Albury Local Court.

Andrew Noel Robertson faced a mid-range drink driving charge in court on Tuesday, March 9.

Court documents, seen by The Albury Wodonga News, reveal the off-duty police officer was pulled over for a random breath test on McDonald Rd in Lavington just after midnight on February 28.

When the breath test showed a positive reading, Robertson was arrested and taken to Albury police station for further breath analysis where he returned a reading of 0.084.

Documents reveal Robertson told police he had six glasses of red wine between 7.30pm and 11.55pm and had snacked on food while drinking.

Robertson was sentenced to two years’ good behaviour with no conviction recorded.
