Albury-Wodonga’s worst child sex offenders revealed: Raymond Carr, Alan Williams, Laurence Hardy, Bradley Walsh
A business owner, who said he couldn’t help himself from abusing a teen he met at church, is one of Albury-Wodonga’s sex fiends.

They’ve preyed on Albury-Wodonga’s most vulnerable — from an Albury man who tried to silence his victims with lollies and cash, to a Yackandandah truck drive busted with 400,000 child abuse images.
These are some of Albury-Wodonga’s worst sex offenders.
Raymond Carr
Raymond Edward Carr, 32, was convicted of sexually abusing three children over several years, including having sexual intercourse with an eight year old child.
Carr was found guilty of two counts of intercourse with a person under 10, and seven counts of indecent assault of person under 16 in December, 2020, at Albury District Court.
The court heard Carr tried to silence his victims by offering them lollies and cash.
He was sentenced to 12 years in prison, and will be eligible for parole in December 2028.
Alan Williams
Albury business owner Alan Clinton Williams, 57, said he “couldn’t help himself” when sexually abusing a teenage boy he met at church.
Williams pleaded guilty to four counts of intentionally sexually touching a child under 16, and a rolled up charge of grooming a child under 14-years for unlawful sexual activity.
The court heard he touched the boy’s genitals on several occasions over an eight-month period.
Williams was sentenced to 24 months in prison and will be eligible for parole on December 16 this year.
Laurence Hardy
Yackandandah truck driver Laurence Hardy, 51, was nabbed with more than 400,000 child abuse material files after joining a paedophile members-only website.
Hardy pleaded guilty to using a carriage service to possess and access child porn.
Analysis of Hardy’s electronic devices seized by police revealed the sicko had accessed, paid for and downloaded more than 400,000 vile child pornography from filthy members-only paedophile site ‘Website M’, spending between $5000-$6000 on the files.
Hardy was sentenced to a maximum of five years’ and nine months’ jail, having already served 402 days.
Bradley Walsh
Corowa father of two Bradley Walsh, 40, sent a picture of his penis to who he thought was a 13-year-old girl, asking for intimate photos and videos in return.
He pleaded guilty to using a carriage service to solicit child abuse material, and using a carriage service to transmit indecent communication to a person under 16 at Albury District Court.
Court documents reveal from July 1 to October 6, 2020, Walsh was using Skype to message a person he thought was a 13-year-old girl but was actually an undercover police officer.
Walsh was sentenced to an 18-month Commonwealth Recognizance Release Order, to be of good behaviour, with the condition he sees a psychiatrist.
Enrico Delzotto
Mulwala chef Enrico Robert Charles Delzotto was busted with over 2500 child abuse images and videos across a number of devices including videos of adult men penetrating pre-pubescent boys.
He pleaded guilty to possess child abuse material obtained using carriage service, and use carriage service to access child abuse material at Albury District Court.
The court heard Delzotto had previously been incarcerated in Queensland for a child sex abuse offence.
He was sentenced to three years and six months in prison with a non-parole period of 16 months and will be eligible for parole in August 2023.
Michael Portwood
Michael Portwood left a mysterious safe at his ex-partner’s Lavington home, which led to him being busted with hundreds of child abuse images.
Five years after their separation, Portwood’s ex-partner sold the safe to a man who used an angle grinder to cut the safe open, revealing its grim contents — two USBs containing 715 child abuse images, and a yellow envelope containing Portwood’s ID.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing child abuse material.
Portwood was sentenced to a two-year community corrections order with supervision.
Clem Penrith
Clem Penrith was jailed for more than three years after sexually assaulting 12 and 15-year-old girls.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault of a person under the age of 16, and using social media to send indecent material to a person under 16 in January this year.
Penrith first exposed himself to the 15-year-old after a funeral before asking her “please don’t tell anyone” after trying to force himself onto his victim.
In a separate incident with his 12-year-old victim, Penrith asked the girl to play with his penis while she was visiting his home in 2017.
When the victim started to cry he grabbed her arm and dragged her to his bedroom.
While between December 2018 and January 2020, the court heard the sicko offered a 15-year-old girl $50 to send photos of her breasts via Facebook Messenger.
He will be eligible for parole next May.
David Corken
David Thomas Corken was sentenced to a minimum of two years in prison after admitting to sexually touching a girl several times beginning when his victim was just six.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of sexually touching a child under 10 in February this year.
The court heard Corken had touched his victim’s vagina over a period of two or three years, beginning when the victim was just six years old.
In the first incident between December 2018 and December 2019, Corken reached into the girl’s underwear and rubbed her genitals.
On a later occasion, after rubbing her genitals he asked the victim if she would like to play with some toys, and she said yes.
