O’Brien set to lead shattered Liberals

Former state treasurer Michael O’Brien appears set to take leadership of the Victorian Liberals. It comes after a 71-year-old retired naval officer who has never learnt to drive ended the leadership hopes of John Pesutto.

Water safety warning as drownings mount

Victorians are being urged to be on high alert this summer after the deadliest spate of drownings on record, with Life Saving Victoria saying 40 people have died at beaches, pools and other waterways over the past year.
