Kimberley Duthie, the woman formerly known as the ‘St Kilda Schoolgirl,’ is penning her life story.

Duthie, now Kimberley Ametoglou, has foreshadowed the release of her book in late 2021 with a teaser on social media.

Based in Queensland, Duthie runs an eyelash salon and is a mother of a three-year-old son.

She made headlines in 2010 and 2011 after leaking nude photos of St Kilda players and being caught in a hotel room with player manager Ricky Nixon.

“Overwhelmed with interest in my book from last night’s sneak peak story,” she posted.

“I can’t wait to share my truth and my life with you all. This is one of the most challenging things I have ever done, reminiscing on past traumas and a time in my life that I was at absolute rock bottom.

“I wanted to be able to share what I couldn’t say 10 years ago during many TV interviews.

“NDA contracts have finally expired now it’s 2021 and it’s my chance to finally close a chapter.

“To be able to use my own words and describe what happened to me, I was a child & victim in many scenarios, though be mindful there is a lot of graphic content warnings and plenty of things I’m not proud of, though I want to be completely transparent & for it to be the truth.

“This is my story … So I can finally recover and gain closure.”

Duthie on Saturday night explained she was writing the book to help her recover from the experiences of a decade ago.

“The reason why I am writing the book is purely so I can heal and recover from all the trauma and PTSD that I was put through as a child and a teenager 10 years ago,” she said on Instagram.

“It is not to create anymore controversy or to be thrown into the spotlight for the wrong reason again.

“I am just doing this as the last step of my journey so that I can move forward.

“I am a full-time mother and businesswoman. I don’t need to be thrown into the spotlight but people need to be accountable for what happened to me and what I was put through.”

She said her “Instagram family” was an important element that helped her through her dark times.

“To my friends, family and most importantly my Instagram family, the strangers that DM me on the daily and gave me the strength that I needed and the push that I needed to be able to share my story, you helped me realise that I was a child and I was a victim in many scenarios.

“You helped me see that I had a chance at a new life, you helped me when I had days that I was depressed, you helped me stop blaming myself for everything that happened.

“You gave me a second chance. It’s 10 years on and I’ve gone from being a child that blamed herself daily for what they put me through.

“I had severe depression because living in a world where I was hated for standing up for myself .. was too hard to bare (sic) .. to now: I am the strongest I have ever been mentally and physically, with the love and support from you all.

“You all gave me a second chance without even knowing me. For that I am forever grateful.”

Duthie has been keeping her fans involved in the progress of her book.

She also put a poll on her social media asking her followers if they would prefer an e-book or audio version of her memoir.

Duthie revealed last year she was battling cancer.
