It’s no secret the phones are ringing hot from AFL types and TV talent keen to get a look-in to the ever-changing media landscape as everything is seemingly up in the air with the AFL season wrapping up on Saturday.
But one who has already been ensnared on the current recruiting drive and also already impressing, is Scott Pendlebury.
The Collingwood captain, who announced he will play an incredible 20th season in 2025, is proving he has not just a face for television but the know-how as he works across the finals season for Seven. Other current players being moulded by the network include Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield.
Elsewhere this week it was Collingwood first lady, Alex Pendlebury who was handing the keys of the city over to none other than Cinderella.
The state is that mad for AFL even the Disney princess was getting in on the action, being handed a glass, wait for it, footy boot at Westfield Southland this week.
“We wanted to welcome her to Victoria,” Pendlebury told Page 13 saying Cinderella will make her royal debut by popping up around the department store giant this week, adding last year was a fairytale finish for the 2023 Collingwood premiership team.
