A lovestruck journalist has found his work being published in ways he never could have imagined after his very direct approach to a TV reporter went viral.

There’s nothing wrong with having a flirt or reaching out for a cheeky catch up.

But one lovestruck journalist at a major publication has found his work being published in ways he didn’t intend.

Our man — who has developed quite the reputation as a Casanova — sent an Instagram DM (direct message for the social media novices) to a bubbly television reporter who caught his eye during the Australian Open.

But little did he know, the recipient took a screenshot and sent it to a friend, who sent it to a friend, who sent it to a friend, and as is so often the case, it’s now gone viral.

Page 13 admires the confidence and candour of the Casanova, plus there were no spelling errors.

Despite making some subtle inquiries it’s unclear if that drink or coffee ever eventuated.
