Dustin Martin’s love life is back in the spotlight thanks to the hot date he took to a friend’s wedding in Melbourne last year.

That is the genesis of the latest rumours of a rekindled romance, which is now causing a lot of angst on the home front.

The Richmond superstar and Johnston, the separated wife of disgraced NRL player Brett Finch, came together at the St Kilda nuptials of Harlan Camilleri and Edwina Greatorex.

Harlan is the son of famed Aussie rocker Joe Camilleri of the Black Sorrows and moves in AFL circles.

He and Dusty have been mates for some time, with the Tigers gun an early investor in Camilleri’s streetwear brand Balla Apparel.

Meanwhile Johnston and Edwina have been besties for some time.

Martin and Johnston, the daughter of former Carlton great Wayne ‘The Dominator’ Johnston, dated back in 2014 where they holidayed together in Bali.

Dusty and Elli were spotted at St Kilda’s Harlan Camilleri and Edwina Greatorex wedding last November.

The sight of them socialising again quickly ignited rumours, but Page 13 has been told there was no rolling in the hay for old time’s sake.

Johnston has spoken to family and friends this week about how much stress her links to Martin is causing back in Sydney where she still shares a home with Finch.

Finch, a former Melbourne Storm player who she married in 2018, last year narrowly avoided a jail term after pleading guilty to child abuse material charges.

A court heard Finch was caught sending “depraved” voice messages about young boys on a gay chat service in an attempt to score drugs for a nose-bleeding 25 gram a week cocaine addiction.

Finch received a two-year suspended sentence and rarely leaves the Sydney home he shares with Johnston and their daughter Mackenzie.

While his wife came out in December saying the family needed time to heal, it’s understood they are no longer together but live in the same house as they co-parent.

Martin is no stranger to being linked with a bevy of beauties, with the latest names linked to the Brownlow Medallist including models Jessica Gomes and Elissa Burns.

The reclusive superstar stays in his Tigers den most of the time now given any time Dusty appears at an event – ie. the Camilleri wedding – it ignites talk of a new hot romance.

But sometimes rumours are on the money. Think the estranged wife of a former premiership playing opponent who wanted to get one back on her scoundrel cheating husband.

After getting the leg over on a one-night-only hook up, she famously told her ex: “No one is better than Dusty.”
