A week on and Tim Paine’s game-day sexting warm-ups still has even the less doe-eyed of sorts bewildered.

And yet it appears it wasn’t just the cricket captain, or his brother-in-law, whose minds were deep in the crease at Cricket Tasmania in light of more tawdry tales from the Apple Isle.

Page 13 has become aware of at least two other complaints against Cricket Tasmania officials in and around late 2015 to 2016.

It is believed that allegations of verbal sexual innuendos and misconduct inside Cricket Tasmania were raised by a female employee involving other senior staff.

Howzat! It’s a well-worn pitch to the Human Resources office.

Let’s just say the sight of a couple of bananas on an office desk was enough to hit the crass comments for six. Cue: “Oh you need two bananas do you?”

Then there were alleged sledges and gibes about getting “rooted” or, “have you ever had a threesome?”

And there it is, the ol’ threesome corridor comment from a sexist male piggy. Allegedly.

It would almost seem unbelievable in this day and age, if the comments weren’t so, well, predictable and obvious.

When the haw-haw and unwelcomed advances were raised to management, it’s alleged the response was along the lines of “at least he has good taste in women” to “don’t tell me these stories again. Gross.”

Gross indeed.

Paine relinquished his role as captain last Friday after the Herald Sun revealed he was investigated by Cricket Australia over claims of sexual harassment after sending an unsolicited X-rated photo, OK, a “dick pic”, to a then colleague. On Friday he announced he was “taking leave” from all forms of cricket.

Cricket Tasmania this week leapt to his defence, calling the anger around the way he was treated “palpable” and the worst it has seen since Bill Lawry more than 50 years ago. Lawry was dropped from the Test team mid-series despite being captain. And he only found out when it was made public.

Maybe it’s Cricket Tasmania that should be taking a long, dare we write it, hard, look at itself.
