Collingwood midfielder Jack Crisp was embroiled in a lewd video scandal five years ago.

Page 13 can reveal the Collingwood Football Club was made aware of a sexually explicit video featuring Crisp in 2018.

The pornographic video recording featured a naked Crisp lying back on a bed. He is not pictured with anyone else in the room.

Page 13 has been told the footage was filmed in 2014 when he was 19 and a Brisbane Lions player.

Unlike the leaked footage which circulated on social media this week, Crisp has no beard.

But like many of his Collingwood cohort before him, Crisp is easily identified in the tawdry footage, due to his heavily inked up calligraphy written forearm tattoo. Crisp’s face is also clearly in shot.

The recording under a pseudonym username was uploaded to a subscriber-based video site, whose title is even too explicit to print.

Screenshots and freeze-frames of the player were later circulated on social media in 2018.

At the time it was not known if the video featuring Crisp was a result of a revenge porn type scenario – a criminal offence under Victorian law – where a person has circulated on social media what was meant to be a private video or image.

The obscene footage surfaced not long after former Collingwood stars Travis Cloke and Dane Swan were embroiled in a nude photo leak.

The Collingwood Football Club was contacted by the Herald Sun and made aware of the pornographic footage of Crisp when it surfaced in May 2018.

This week Collingwood’s general manager of football Graham Wright said the leaked Snapchat video of a bearded Crisp was “historic” from several years ago.

“We became aware of a video yesterday involving Jack Crisp. We notified the AFL and the AFL Integrity Department,” Wright said on Thursday.

The midfielder could still face suspension, with the AFL saying they had insufficient time to interview Crisp or launch an investigation, freeing him to play against his old side the Lions.

It wasn’t a great 24 hours for the club, which suffered their first loss of the season against Brisbane at the Gabba on Thursday night.

Crisp was below his best, kicking one goal from just 15 possessions in the 33 point loss.

Collingwood coach Craig McCrae downplayed the leaked video controversy.

Asked post-match if he thought the Crisp saga had an impact on his side, McRae said: “No, I wouldn’t have thought so. We’re not going to make excuses for anything.”

The reigning Pies best and fairest winner has been hot on Melbourne’s red carpet scene of late with wife Mikayla. Just the night before news broke about Crisp’s latest lewd video, he was seen out and about at new Italian eatery Rossi in Greville St, arriving solo.

Wife Mikayla and the pair’s two young daughters are understood to have accompanied Crisp, who put his hand up for the captaincy role last year, to Brisbane on Thursday.

He will be interviewed by the AFL’s integrity unit next week after the league launched an investigation into a controversial video that emerged on social media.
