Collingwood star Jack Crisp is being investigated by his club and the AFL following the emergence of a confronting video of Snapchat images.

The video, which has been circulated widely on social media and via messaging apps, shows a man scrolling through several grainy Snapchat clips, including many featuring a bearded Crisp posing above messages.

In one image allegedly sent by Crisp, the Pies star is pictured wearing a seatbelt alongside a caption reading: “You young girls are my little sl*ts. I’ll tell you what to do.”

A second image appears to reference the use of illicit substances, suggesting the recipient “come and drink and have some lines.”

As the person swiping the images on a phone screen can be heard saying “wait for it, wait for it” an image appears showing a naked man holding his genitalia. It is not clear whether the image is Crisp.

The images were circulated by thousands of people on Wednesday night, though it is not known when the Snapchats were sent.

After being contacted about the clip, the club issued a statement saying: “The Collingwood Football Club is aware of a video circulating online this evening involving AFL player Jack Crisp.

“The club has been in contact with the AFL and will work through the situation before providing a further update.”

The 29-year-old midfielder, who is married with two children, was already up in Brisbane when the video began circulating in the early evening, with the club set to face the Lions at the Gabba in its traditional Easter eve match tonight.

Dual Pies best and fairest Crisp is seen as the most durable player in the AFL, having played 191 consecutive games.

Last December, he put his hand up for the captaincy role after Scott Pendlebury stepped aside, but missed out to Darcy Moore.

The probe is an unwanted distraction for Collingwood, one of the early favourites for the Premiership after its scintillating 3-0 start to the season.

It comes as the Pies are preparing to reintroduce Jack Ginnivan, who was banned for the opening two matches after he admitted to using an illicit substance.

Ginnivan was found guilty of conduct unbecoming after vision emerged of him taking an illicit substance while in a cubicle at the Torquay Hotel in January.

It is also not Crisp’s first brush with controversy, as he was found guilty in 2015 of betting offences.

While playing for the Lions in 2014, Crisp had placed bets totalling $129 on AFL outcomes.

He was fined $5000 and ordered to undergo counselling, with the league at the time saying his full co-operation in the investigation aided his light sanction.
