What does one do if you don’t have a dress for the ball?
If you are the Wolf of Wall Street Jordan Belfort’s ex wife, you quickly drop $10,000 at Dior.
Page 13 couldn’t help but overhear the price tag, with the blonde bombshell looking every cent one of the many well-heeled guests at the highly anticipated BYD Sealion 6 super-hybrid event, the first social soiree ever held at Docklands Studios on Thursday night.
Mingling with her good friends, property richlisters Mark and Cheryl Simonds, Anne Koppe is not to be confused with Belfort’s first “trophy wife” Naomi Cariti, played oh so well by Margot Robbie in the Wolf of Wall Street movie.
Koppe came later, after all the criminal convictions and is understood to have buddied up to the Simonds when Belfort was scouting around Australia for business ventures. Whispers are she was staying at Crown in Melbourne, so handy to Dior, and will soon head back to her native U.S.
Melbourne PR maven Judy Romano has always been known for pulling out the best, most eclectic guest lists in town, with Thursday’s event no different.
Our blue-chippers hobnobbed with artists including Hugh Jackman’s personal assistant and long-time friend of Deborah Lee Furness, Irving Milgrom.
Jackman’s former right-hand man was seen animatedly chatting to Princess Mary, now Queen Mary, bridesmaid Amber Petty, with the pair taking new kid on the block Lee Halley under their wing.
The softly spoken, polite Boy Swallows Universe actor is one to watch, next playing none other than late AC/DC frontman Bon Scott in an upcoming biopic set in Western Australia.
