Nadia Bartel is ready to take on the world in 2021.

The businesswoman and style queen has spent the past year building up Henne, the fashion label she runs with her sister Michelle Ring and friend Laura Broque.

And now the trio have plans to take the online label to an international audience.

“We are so known in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth but I would really love to take the brand overseas,” said Bartel, who is on the cover of the summer edition of The House of Wellness magazine.

The mum of two said Henne, which means “her” in Swedish, featured classic, timeless pieces that could be worn with sneakers at school drop-off or equally dressed up for a night out.

“We wanted the brand to be about her – the consumer who is wearing it, what she loves, how she likes to wear it and how confident she feels in it,” Bartel, 35, said.

“Whenever we create pieces we always have her at the front of our mind. We don’t need to create something just for the sake of it – we’d rather it be a piece that they are really going to love.”

As well as breathing new life into her business, Bartel revealed she had also spent the COVID lockdown focusing on her spiritual side.

Her holistic lifestyle includes regular meditation and breathing exercises, which she said helped her gain greater perspective after her 2019 split from ex-husband Jimmy Bartel.

“I am a really spiritual person but I became even more so (last year),” Bartel said.

“I really got into meditation and became more consistent with it – it is something that I love.”
