As her radio career continues to rise, Gold Logie winner Kate Ritchie says she does not want the TV industry to forget about her.
Ritchie and her co-hosts Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold, picked up two wins for their NOVA Drive show, Best Networked Program and Best Syndicated Australian Program, at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs), in Brisbane on Saturday night.
“Without any disrespect towards the radio industry, I would not say it is my preferred medium, but I am absolutely loving it these days and that comes from being part of a show that has enjoyed incredible continued success,” Ritchie said.
“In my heart I am still very much an actress and some people might say my best acting work now happens between 4pm and 6pm every day across the nation. It is lovely that my radio career goes from strength to strength, but I would also hate the television industry to forget about me.”
Other major winners at the ACRA’s included Sydney’s WSFM breakfast hosts Brendan Jones and Amanda Keller who collected Best On-Air Metro FM Team. 2GB’s Erin Molan and Natalie Peters won Best On-Air Metro AM Team.
