Former US Open winner Geoff Ogilvy announces engagement to TV host Bree Laughlin

The former US Open winner was all smiles after girlfriend and TV host Bree Laughlin said yes, as celebrity friends inundated the Aussie sporting power couple with well wishes.

“How did I pull this off?” was all Geoff Ogilvy need to write, with the Australian golfing champion smiling from ear to ear as he posed with his new fiancee.

Congratulations are in order for the former US Open winner, who popped the question to girlfriend Bree Laughlin.

The power sporting couple have been dating since 2022, having met through mutual friends on the international golfing circuit.

Laughlin, who has worked as an ambassador and had long ties with the Victoria Racing Club, is co-host of How Good is Golf with Paul Gow on Kayo and has become a keen golfer.

The Melbourne-based couple were inundated with messages of well wishes from their celebrity friends – from Geelong premiership star Joel Selwood, news presenter Rebecca Maddern, acclaimed milliner Jill Humphries and model tennis WAG Silvana Philippoussis- after sharing the engagement news to social media this week.

“It’s a yes from me #engaged,” Laughlin wrote with a picture of the happy couple showing off her new bobby dazzler diamond sparkler.

Ogilvy, who followed up with a beaming post commenting “how did I pull this off?” won the 2006 US Open and he counts three World Golf Championships among his eight PGA Tour victories.

He also has won the Australian Open and the Australian PGA Championship and has reached No. 3 in the world.

The Australian golfer was in a previous marriage with Texas-born wife Juli, with the couple sharing three children.
