The new line-up for the Footy Show in 2019

The revamped Footy Show line-up has found its final piece, with a former player and Brownlow medallist set to make his mark on the new-look show.

Shane Crawford will be a semi-regular panellist on the show.

After quitting Channel 9 to pursue a jungle adventure on Ten, AFL great Shane Crawford is set to make a return to his TV home as part of the rebooted Footy Show.

Crawford has emerged as the final piece in the Footy Show puzzle, with the Hawthorn superstar and Brownlow medallist expected to have a semi-regular presence on the new-look panel show.

Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann, Brendan Fevola and Dylan Alcott will be the mainstays of the show along with a female sporting identity — tipped to be Neroli Meadows.

Crawford’s return was hinted at last month when Eddie McGuire, whose production company, JAM TV, produces The Footy Show, mentioned his name three times during a discussion on his Triple M breakfast show about the new line-up.

Crawford’s return to Nine’s priority footy-tainment program comes after he departed the network at the start of the year and signed on to the 10 reality show I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!

He proved himself to be a viewer favourite on the jungle-based program.

Ten, no doubt, would have been keen to consider Crawford for future celebrity-driven shows and it is understood Channel 7 sounded him out for a role within their suite of footy programs.

Nine, however, has enticed him back three months after he left.

From the day he joined I’m a Celebrity, Nine insiders were keen to attract him back.

Meanwhile long-time Footy Show favourite Billy Brownless will be seen this year on the Sunday Footy Show, having signed a one-year deal with Nine.

The Footy Show will launch on Wednesday, March 20.
