The Block is undergoing a renovation on its judging line-up with a new hot shot Melbourne real estate ace and ‘property flipper’ tipped to be casting a critical eye over the show’s rooms this year.
Marty Fox, the slick WHITEFOX Real Estate chief executive has been snapped venturing in and out of The Block properties in recent weeks, as the vast renovations take place in Hampton East, with the show’s iconic judge Shaynna Blaze.
Having spotted Fox a number of times at the Charming Street building site, curious local Block fans — there is a passionate cohort embedded near the show’s houses — say he appears to be part of the judging panel.
Blaze, Darren Palmer and Neale Whitaker are all part of the show again this year, so Fox could be a semi-regular guest judge.
Fox, 34, is no stranger to The Block audience.
He auctioned Harry and Tash Pavlou’s home on the 2020 season and Rachel and Ryan’s property on last year’s series.
Fox started in the real estate game aged 21. In 2017 he launched his own agency, WHITEFOX.
He is described on the WHITEFOX website as “a serial property flipper” and “a respected figure of success” who “redefines success wherever he goes.”
The Block is shaping up to enjoy yet another hit season.
The production was rocked last week when a coffee crisis engulfed the show.
A nearby resident complained to the Bayside council about the McCafe, which keeps The Block’s tradies, contestants and hosts, full of caffeine, serving free coffee to locals checking out the progression of the houses.
After the complaint the cafe is no longer able to serve the welcome brews to people who aren’t part of the production.
