Former WAG Tania Buckley has swapped footy for the fast lane of grassroots motorsport.

Tania, whose marriage split with former Collingwood champion Nathan Buckley has been headline news, is immersed in the sport of karting thanks to both her sons, Jett and Ayce, racing go-karts.

Tania is believed to have met her new partner, Marco Kelly, through the sport.

She is expected to make her media wall debut with Kelly at the launch of the BYD Sealion 6 SUV electric car at the Docklands Studios on Thursday.

To say Tania is selective about the media events she attends is an understatement. On the rare occasion she has appeared on a media wall in recent years, it has been to support friends.

One of footy’s highest profile couple’s, Tania and Nathan separated in 2020 and she is now selling the palatial Toorak home they shared during their marriage. She is seeking offers in the range of $18m.

Last month Nathan auctioned more than 200 items of private memorabilia from his playing days, with the offloading described as being the result of his divorce.

The items fetched about $200,000.

Aria award-winning artist Amy Shark will perform.

BYD is the world’s fastest growing new energy automotive brand, having outsold Tesla globally in the final quarter of 2023.
