Olympic legend Grant Hackett has made a big bucks splash in the Brighton property market.
Hackett and his wife Sharlene are set to join the bayside brigade after making a successful play for a stunning five bedroom architecturally designed home just off Brighton’s ‘Golden Mile.’
The home was sold privately in December with an asking price of between $5 million – $6 million.
The pending arrival of the swimming great in the leafy bayside playground of the well-heeled and well-connected has had locals talking in the past fortnight.
The trophy family home in an exclusive cul-de-sac boasts five bedrooms, five bathrooms, soaring ceilings, a formal lounge/dining area and wine cellar as well as an outdoor entertaining space with swimming pool and landscaped garden.
Hackett and his wife have a son, Edward. He has twins, Charlize and Jagger, from his first marriage.
