Delta’s beau gushes in romantic public gesture

Delta Goodrem’s boyfriend of five years has openly declared his love for the celebrated singer in a rare public display of affection from the private pair.

Delta Goodrem’s long time partner Matthew Copley has publicly declared his love for the celebrated singer.

“I love you,” Copley wrote to Goodrem in an emotional social media post.

Copley, a songwriter, producer and guitarist, has been in a relationship with Goodrem since late 2017.

The notoriously private pair were first photographed together kissing in Hawaii in early 2018.

Music is what first united the pair and it was the conclusion of Goodrem’s Australian tour, which Copley has been a key part of, on Saturday that drew the musician’s public declaration of love.

“Words can’t describe the feelings I have today for the last show of (the) tour!,” he wrote.

“Humbled, excited, nervous, sad, proud, nostalgic just to name a few … I am so proud of you and the show that we have created with our incredible team.

“I have loved every minute of this process and cannot thank you enough for trusting me with the responsibilities and roles I have done with you.

“Here’s to taking this show worldwide as the best is yet to come …. I love you xx @deltagoodrem.”

Goodrem spoke about her romance with Copley in a 2020 interview.

“It’s a relationship of respect,” she said.

“Matt is an incredible musician and we really enjoy working together.

“Music is how we met, it’s what we both do, so it’s really about just being creative in the household.”
