Two Victorian racings dynasties were brought together on Friday as top jockey Patrick Moloney tied the knot with Jess Patton.
Moloney, who was runner up in this year’s Melbourne Cup on board Emissary, is the grandson of Jim Moloney, who trained super sprinter Vain and is a member of the Racing Hall of Fame.
Patton is the daughter of former jockey turned trainer, Jason Patton. Her mother is Therese Payne, who was a jockey.
Among Patton’s bridesmaids was her aunt, Melbourne Cup winning jockey Michelle Payne.
The racy couple wed at Acacia Ridge Vineyard and busted some pretty slick moves to the Grease anthem ‘You’re the one that I want’ at their reception.
