Hilarious way staff are being warned to behave at parties

Pre-party memos are no surprise in 2022 but some bosses have taken Christmas festivity warnings a step further — with humour.

Booger sugar, nose beers, shout louder powder and disco biccies are among the “don’t indulge” items being listed by some nervous bosses to employees preparing for a Christmas party blow out.

Pre-party memos reminding employees not to get smashed and turn into a grub are par for the course these days, so it was only a matter of time before gentle encouragement to not do anything regrettable would start to include other temptations.

One company in the media space at least made the “make good choices note entertaining with “Constable Care” warning staff to steer clear of “shout louder powder” and “try to get a few waters in between the alcoholic bevvies.” Very wise.

“Food and drinks will be provided at the Christmas party including alcoholic beverages. If you choose to drink alcohol, please do so responsibly, be respectful to others and have plenty to eat,” the all staff note to the company read.

“Call me Constable Care but try to get a few waters in between the alcoholic bevvies.

“Excessive consumption of alcohol is not something any of us should be contemplating, even if it is on the company dime.

“As for drugs, my message couldn’t be clearer: don’t go there.

“Whether it’s the Serbian Salad, disco biccies or the Shout Louder powder, the canine cops will sniff you out.”

Making the “you can’t say you weren’t warned” note entertaining is a smart way of getting it read.
