A rival ‘Block’ is on the market a mere stone’s throw from the mega six-home development in Gisborne South that was created as part of this season of the hit TV show The Block.
A 10-acre parcel of land with a house on it, directly opposite The Block homes on McGeorge Rd in Gisborne South, is on the market with LJ Hooker Altona North.
Director Tassie El-Hassan has the listing.
The property was used as a production base by The Block team during filming.
The parcel of land has been on the market for three weeks and is up for private sale with a price estimate of $3m.
The sale campaign is making the most of the location describing the property as “the block, across the road from The Block!”
“An extremely exciting and rare opportunity to be the neighbour of ‘The Block’ phenomenon,” the listing reads.
“Here’s your chance to become a part of history, in a street that will be talked about on a national scale for decades and remembered for its lush lifestyle amongst the rich and famous. “Why not challenge yourself to build a bigger and better home than your new neighbours across the road and rewrite history by in fact having the biggest and best home ever built on McGeorge Road - let it be a topic for discussion on an international level, rather than just national.”
The Block properties will go to auction as part of the series next month.
