Pop superstar Robbie Williams will be in Melbourne in early January supporting the release of Better Man, the film based on his life story.
Williams will appear at an exclusive Q&A gala for Better Man at the Astor Theatre in Windsor on the evening of January 2.
Tickets for the evening went on sale on Saturday.
Better Man was directed, co-written and co-produced by Melbourne-born director Michael Gracey.
In the film, the character of Williams is played by a CGI monkey.
The movie was filmed in Melbourne in 2022.
Williams was unable to attend Better Man’s Melbourne premiere on December 11 but is obviously going to make up for his lost time with his early January touch down.
Williams is expected to meet up with various people and organisations who supported and were part of the making of the film during his Melbourne visit.
Williams will ring in the new year in Australia.
The British superstar will headline the ABC’s annual New Year’s Eve concert at the Sydney Opera House.
“I love and adore Australia, and the Sydney fireworks are truly magical,” Williams said in a statement.
“To be ringing in the New Year in the country where my biopic movie, Better Man, was shot will be the perfect end to 2024 and the ideal start to 2025. I can’t wait to perform and celebrate with my incredible Australian fans”.
