Olympia Valance and billionaire sister Holly Candy reunite in Melbourne

Is it just coincidence that sisters Holly Candy and sister Olympia Valance - both ex Neighbours stars - have reunited in Melbourne as the show returns?

Holly Candy and her sister, Surviving Summer star Olympia Valance have reunited in Melbourne for Easter.

Candy, who is based in London with her billionaire husband Nick Candy and their children, has been absent from her hometown since before Covid.

The sisters, who both starred in Neighbours, shared their happiness on social media on Friday.

For Candy this is strictly a family visit. Despite rumours she is not heading back to Ramsay Street - is it just a happy coincidence that her time in Melbourne coincides with Neighbours rising from the TV grave?

The show begins its new lease of life on Monday when filming kicks off on Erinsborough’s new chapter.

Neighbours was axed in June last year with its final episode - at that stage - airing in late July with an all-star cast including Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce making brief, but loving, returns to the show.

In a stunning turn of events, in November last year Fremantle, Amazon Freevee and Prime Video, and Channel 10 announced the show was being resurrected.

After months of anticipation the new era for the beloved soap, that had clocked up 37 years in production when the axe fell last year, will officially begin early Monday morning with the likes of Alan Fletcher, Stefan Dennis, Jackie Woodburne, Ryan Moloney, Annie Jones, Rebekah Elmaloglou, Georgie Stone and Tim Kano heading back out to the Neighbours studio at Nunawading.

The show will also return to filming in Pin Oak Court in Vermont South.
