MOTHER ‘nose’ best according to Ninja Warrior host and new mum, Rebecca Maddern.
Maddern and her adored six-week old daughter Ruby Mae have signed up as ambassadors for Red Nose Day with the iconic red noses their new favourite accessory.
“She thought mummy looked pretty funny in a red nose,” Maddern laughed.
Red Nose Day celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, raising research funds and awareness into Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. (SIDS)
“As soon as I had Ruby, SIDS is really at the front of your mind, to be honest,” Maddern said.
“I don’t think there would be a parent out there that does not worry about bringing home a newborn baby and their child going to sleep at night.
“There are nine babies in Australia dying every day from SIDS, it is absolutely heartbreaking, and I can’t imagine what mums and dads go through when they put their little precious baby to bed and they don’t wake up and there is no explanation.
“We need to get that figure down to zero. New mums and dads need to know how to make their baby safe and one of the biggest things I learnt day one in the hospital was to put your baby to sleep on their back.”
