Kah’s ex tight-lipped over new romance

Clayton Douglas is staying tight-lipped in the wake of ex-partner Jamie Kah debuting her romance with Ben Melham. But it seems he’s moved on too.

Mornington racehorse trainer Clayton Douglas is maintaining a dignified silence after his former partner Jamie Kah went Insta-official with fellow jockey Ben Melham last month while holidaying in England.

The Melham-Kah romance was given extra spice when Melham’s ex-partner Karlie Dales stuck the boots into him in a recent interview revealing she had suspected him of “playing up” during their 15 year relationship.

Melham and Dales, who have three children, split last year in the wake of the infamous jockeys gone wild Mornington Airbnb incident.

In August last year Kah, Melham and three other jockeys, Ethan Brown, Celine Gaudray and Mark Zahra, were fined for breaching Victoria’s lockdown restrictions and were sanctioned by racing authorities after holding a rowdy party at the short term rental property.

Kah and Douglas’s relationship survived that party but earlier this year it would seem the relationship has come to an end.

While Kah is now quite publicly with Melham, the word in racing circles is Douglas, who owns the Bradlee Park stables and training property at Mornington in conjunction with Kah, has also moved on and is also seeing someone new.

Douglas declined to comment when contacted on Friday.

The name Bradlee Park comes from the combining of Kah and Douglas’s middle names.

Kah, meanwhile, looks like resuming her place as the unofficial face of racing in Victoria.

A recent invitation to an event on August 1, the horses birthday, sent out by Racing Victoria has the top jockey front and centre.

Kah was rumoured to have been set to be announced as the face of the Spring Racing Carnival last year but that deal was scuttled after the fallout from the Airbnb party.
