Jesinta Franklin has hit out at selfish anti-maskers and covidiots who flaunt quarantine and social distancing rules.
Franklin, the wife of Sydney Swans star Buddy Franklin, said she was disgusted by the attitude and behaviour of those who were not taking the COVID-19 health crisis seriously.
She and the AFL champion will be apart for up to eight weeks with Buddy bunkered down at the Swans’ Queensland hub while she remains in Sydney with their daughter, Tullulah, and her wider family.
“(I am) absolutely disgusted in the behaviour of some individuals who think they are above this virus or the regulations set out by our Government,” a fed-up Franklin posted on Instagram.
“I am apart from my husband for up to 8 weeks.
“I have had to pack our entire life up and move to be closer to family while we face the next few months separated so I can still try to work and provide for my family.
“The only way I can see one of my grandparents, who is in bad health, is through a window.
“A lot of family and friends haven’t met our daughter.
The couple said recently, in an interview for Crown Casino, that the early days of the COVID-19 lockdown had come with the silver lining of having more time to spend with
their baby daughter. Tullulah was born in February.
“Parenthood has taught us to be more present,” they said in the joint chat. “We can get so caught up with work and it’s easy to spend a lot of time on social media but since having Tullulah around it has made us enjoy the little things and be more present in life and with each other.
“Without sounding naive to how challenging lockdown was for so many people, we truly feel it was a blessing in spending more quality time with each other.”
