It is a case of bye Myer, hello America as Jennifer Hawkins reveals her next big project

JENNIFER Hawkins might have been the face of Myer but she has her eyes set firmly on the US as she enjoys her swan song runway show with the retail giant. Find out what Jen is doing next.

JENNIFER Hawkins says her catwalk days are over following her celebrated appearance at Myer’s Runway Series in Melbourne as she sets her sights on the US.

Hawkins will step down as the Face of Myer in December after 12 years with the brand and is enjoying a swan song filled with nostalgia and gratitude.

Guests at Thursday’s in-store designer showcase may have witnessed more than just her last catwalk for Myer; it could well be her last runaway turn ever.

“I would say it would be my last,” Hawkins said.

“I have only ever done catwalk with Myer. I have never been a catwalk model, I have been a spokesperson for the brand and it (the catwalk) was an event, it was more like a showcase and a performance for customers, the brand, the industry, so I would say it would be my last.

“You never know, someone might get me back when I am 90 and say ‘here she is’ and wheel me out.”

Hawkins will complete her duties for Myer during Melbourne Cup Week, however she is well and truly focused on the future.

She and her husband Jake Wall are set to take their Sesion Tequila brand to the US.

“We are launching Sesion into the States, so that will be very exciting,” she said.

“That would be a goal and a real dream. It is happening soon. We have a new advertising agency on board.”

Hawkins has another goal she is keen to achieve.

“(I’d like to) just to live a little and have a normal-ish life, that would be another goal to be honest.”
