Former Hawthorn star Josh Gibson’s partner Olga Kononchuk is on the road to recovery after a boating accident left her with spinal injuries.
Gibson yesterday shared a photo on social media of Kononchuk and her dog enjoying a lunch in the sun with the caption “My girls.”

The couple were with friends on a boat on the evening of Saturday, November 10 when the accident occurred.
Kononchuk, 38, was transported to The Alfred hospital for treatment.
“Olga had a fall … and did some damage to vertebrae in her lower back,” Gibson said in a statement last week.
“She’s been extremely well looked after by the staff at The Alfred since and is now ready to commence a period of rehabilitation.”
The couple have been dating since July.
