Grant Denyer will be absent from the Dancing With The Stars co-hosting duties for a third week as he continues to recover from a painful and debilitating back injury.
Denyer has spent more than a fortnight in hospital in Sydney being treated for an annular fissure which he sustained when using a mallet to hammer in some pegs on his family farm in New South Wales.

GRANT DENYER GETS ANOTHER SHOW ON 10
The injury has seen comedian Denise Scott and Scott Tweedie share the show’s co-hosting duties alongside Amanda Keller.
Scott will be back in Denyer’s shoes for Sunday night’s show as he continues his slow recovery.
Denyer has a history with back problems. In 2008 he broke his back in a horror monster truck smash, an injury that required months of recovery and started an unhealthy dependence on painkillers that he opened up about after winning the Gold Logie last year.
Denyer’s unscripted absence from Dancing has been a blow to the show, which is struggling to attract a sizeable audience.
He and Keller made a terrific on-air team. Thankfully he is expected back next week.
Denyer is also expected to be ready to resume filming Channel 10’s new show, Celebrity Name Game, next week.
