The Footy Show is bleeding viewers, who are switching off because they are simply confused as to what the show is supposed to be.
One thing that is not helping is the startling change in tone of the show’s promos.
A month ago the show was being sold in promos as big, newsy and for footy heads — all dark colours and bold type.

Last week’s promo looked like it was for a sports comedy hour — cheery music, bright colours and with an image of the cast that looked like they were leaping off a building, but was actually supposed to be them all flying for a mark.
So what is the show trying to be? Is it a news show trying to make headlines?
Is it supposed to be full of quirky moments and punchlines?
Is it league teams with a laugh?
With just 63,000 tuning in last Wednesday, the show is at crisis point and is expected to move forward to 7.30pm this Thursday.
