NO stranger to the many trials and tribulations of romance, relationships and heartbreak, Fifi Box has opened up about finding happiness with Neighbours star Damien Richardson as she prepares to host Seven’s new love-seeking show, The First Wives Club.

The couple was first linked in December last year after meeting on the set of the long-running soap, not long after Richardson’s marriage ended, and have been quietly seeing each other since.

“I am really happy at the moment and fortunately off the dating scene,” said Box. “He (Damien) is great ...

“I’ve learnt over the last decade or so that life sweeps you up in a whirlwind and you wonder where it is going.

“What I really appreciate at this time in my life is just being present and loving now.

“And yes, I am happy in my relationship, I am loving my job, but more than anything my absolute priority is Trixie (her four-year-old daughter). She is the love of my life and she is everything.

“I am just lucky everything has fallen in around that and I am in a really good space and that feels really good.”

Box, FOX FM’s breakfast radio host, said she was drawn to The First Wives Club, where four women seek new love following failed marriages, after having experienced the good
and bad of dating.

“I never enjoyed dating, I always found it, and I think most women do, really hard,” Box said.

“And for myself, following my career and being a real career girl for a long time, and living in different states and overseas, I really, really struggled to navigate the dating world. I think that is the case for a lot of women. I find people who met people when they were younger, they are so lucky. These days it is such a minefield ... it is really tough. I have a genuine interest in this, having been there myself and I feel for these women.”

International love guru Matthew Hussey, author of Get The Guy, will join Box on the show helping the ex-wives find romance.

As for dating tips, Box said the best advice was to relax.

“I can say I never found anyone when I was looking, looking, looking,” she said.

“Any of my relationships, they have snuck up on me or they spring into your life and you go: ‘Wow, I did not see that coming’.”
