EDDIE McGuire has opened up on his robust discussions with journalist Damian Barrett over a story planned for a recent episode of The Footy Show.
The pair reportedly locked horns over whether a story involving Collingwood was ready to air before the show on August 30.

“The walls shake every time we have a conversation on The Footy Show, that is the way it is,” McGuire said on Triple M.
“Damian had a story that we wanted to get up. It involved Collingwood and I said it must be legalled … it had to be legalled by a Channel 9 lawyer, (who) wasn’t able to get to it.
“He (Barrett) is a colleague, a friend and a bloke who I pay through the Footy Show indirectly to get these stories up.
“If it was the other way around, if I am Damian Barrett and I’ve got the story, I would fight like hell to get to story on.”
